original preliminary art created for the story "The Defense Rests", as seen in EERIE #7 WARREN MAGAZINE and the EERIE 1971 ANNUAL ("Best Stories Ever")

by Johnny Craig (Crime Suspenstories #22, Tales From The Crypt, Tales From The Vault)

This is drawn on a sheet of thin velum paper that has recently been archivally mounted on acid-free board with a 1" border all around to give it longevity and stability.

The image area measures 10 1/2" x 10 3/4" in size and is signed by the artist in the lower right.
