DescriptionSOLD AT AUCTION FOR $722!15.25x21-7/8" artboard has 14x20-5/8" acrylic original art image area depicting Spin and Marty on horseback, racing down hill to escape snarling mountain lion perched in tree. This art by Bob Bartram was used for the cover to Whitman Book No. 1577 "Walt Disney's Spin And Marty - Trouble At Triple-R," which was published in 1958. Art comes w/acetate overlay which has reverse-painted title on front cover and along spine. Overlay attached along top margin w/white tape. Lower left corner has 4.5" diagonal crease. Production notations along bottom margin of artboard list additional job details as well as "Whitman Spin & Marty Fiction Wrap" notation. Artboard has pinholes at corners and shows scattered edge wear and obvious corner tip wear. Fine overall, but art area remains clean and would display Exc. if matted and framed. Social/Sharing |
