Captain America is taken captive by the forces of the Swine in this page from Jack Kirby's Bronze Age return to his famous patriotic creation from the thriller, "The River of Death." Frank Giacoia ranks among the best of Jack Kirby's many inkers, and his silky smooth brush strokes were perfect for the Bronze Age Captain America stories. This art has an image area of approximately 10" x 15". It is signed by Kirby in the middle of the final panel.Captain America has long been one of Kirby's most iconic creations and one of the most popular among collectors. Since Cap has been featured in three self-titled movies and played a big part in the Avengers blockbusters, interest in Kirby art of the hero has been rising sharply and there really isn't enough art to go around! Collector interest continues to increase for Kirby Captain America art from the 1970s. Social/Sharing |
