Description

Back in 2013, I went to the Cincinnati Comic Con with my nephews and met artist Jonathan Marks.

At the time, he was selling his covers to Aspen Comics "Shrugged" vol. 2 #5 and #6. I was unfamiliar with the title, but I was really impressed with his artistry and the images on each piece, so I bought both covers. I also bought the comics to issues #1-4 and I very much enjoyed reading them.

Issues #5 and #6 were slated to come out very soon, but ... they didn't. 2014 passed, 2015 passed, 2016 passed and 2017 passed, and still no issues #5 and #6.
I had given up hope, but then a few months ago I happened to do a search for the two issues, and lo and behold, they had finally been published!!

I was so psyched!

So, here they are, the published covers to Shrugged vol. 2 #5 and #6. Enjoy!

The story of "Shrugged" follows a teenager named Theo, who possesses two entities in his life, Ange and Dev, who try to influence him at every decision. They both come from an alternate dimension called Perspecta, where a citizen from each "side" is assigned to a human being in our dimension. Angelia is Theo's representative from Elysia and Devonshire is the representative from Nefario, their character designs fitting the typical stereotypes of an "Angel" and a "Devil".

That is one weird cover but strangely appealing. I'll have to check Shrugged out. Congrats.
