DescriptionIn the wake of the downturn resulting from the Comics Code in the late 1950s, Marie Severin went to work for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Together with her brother John, they produced a comic book called "The Story of Checks", which was distributed in banks all over the country. She also drew this going away present for Clif Gordon of the Legal Department, depicting the FRBNY staff in caricature. This is a print (not the original) but it showcases not only Marie's artistic ability, but that famous Severin sense of humor.Social/Sharing |
