DescriptionSOLD AT AUCTION FOR $2,141!12x17" DC Comics artboard has Mike Parobeck's pen and ink original art for cover of "Batman Adventures" Vol. 1 #8, published by DC May 1993. Parobeck's art has been inked by Rick Burchett and features Summer Gleeson clinging to Matt Hagen, who stands over a wounded Batman, holding up his large fist in triumph. Red ink outline in bkg. shows both Gleeson's outline and that of Hagen's true form - Clayface. Top margin has inked title, issue number, publication month and artists' names. Bottom left and upper right margins have "Remove Red Lines!" inked editorial notations. Exc. "Batman Adventures" is Parobeck's best-known work and rarely comes to market, given Parobeck's early death in 1996 resulted in limited amount of art. Social/Sharing |
