DescriptionThis was one of the ones that started it all- my love for Cosmic comics. Forget it was the first time Claremont/Byrne/Austin worked together. This was my introduction to Star-lord! I loved everything about this book and I battled hard to try and get page #1 when it hit HA but someone had more disposable cash than I at the time and I lost. Imagine my thrill to see this page at NYCC- I didn't get a deal on it....but I got it and that is all that matters. One of my top 5 favorite stories of all time. So happy to have this page!Social/Sharing |

Whoah... major congratulations! Claremont/Byrne/Austin/Orzechowski's Star-Lord replaced Barry Smith's "Red Nails" as my favorite comic when it came out in the summer of 1977, and still stands up as amazing work! These pages seem to be as rare as hen's teeth for some reason. Even if Austin still has his share, there should be a few dozen others floating around in the collecto-sphere. Where are they?

Exactly- that why I am thrilled to have one AND its one of the pages that left a huge impression on me too. I idolized my dad and thought we should have a portrait like that of him in the house. Funny the memories that stick with you from childhood reads. Thanks for the nice comments all!
