Description

The Goonies (1985) was directed by Richard Donner, from a story by Steven Spielberg written by Chris Columbus. Quite the pedigree!

This concept drawing depicts 'The Inferno' which was One-Eyed Willy's pirate ship. The ship rests in a well-hidden cave and protects Willy's treasure.

Created by Dave Carson, the VFX art director on the film. Working with Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), Carson has worked on such films as The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Jurassic Park, Titanic, and more.
