Enlargement of one section of Lagoon 1.

It's still hard to see in the photo that all the color in this piece is accomplished only with lines of solid color! The blue and yellow-greenish color areas of water, for example, are accomplished through parallel lines. The jellyfish is formed by crosshatching lines of various color. It's an incredible testament to Ian's technical skill that there is no blocking up of the lines in his areas of crosshatching, which can be seen throughout the piece.
