DescriptionWhat a holiday season it has been.Sandman - Season of Mists - Kelley Jones The editing on this page shows all the tiny considerations that made this series absolutely epic. Todd Klein's lettering throughout is stunning, and this arc really lets him stretch. Cheers! Social/Sharing |

I love how Gaiman's views of Japan's "bubble economy" years influenced Susano-o-no-mikoto's dialogue here. Art wise, I like how Jones, aided by Pratt's clean inking, let go of his Wrightson influences to give the scene the right ambiance. The designs have a certain "Mikado" aspect to them that I don't think I paid quite as much attention to when I first read it, but even now I think it stays inside the lines and doesn't tip over into kitsch. Anyway, what I'm taking too much space to say is, I would have loved to have gotten this page myself. Cheers!

Haha, glad you like it. I agree, and I was at the framer yesterday and we went with a very simple black and red design, and I'm going to cover a lot of the editing to highlight the aesthetics of the page.

I was wondering where this ended up - a beauty of a page.
