Description
I don't think I've said this about any other piece in my collection - this feels like a grail.

A page from Sandman 50 was always on the list, and I thought I'd have to wait much, much longer to find one, let alone afford it. It was enlightening to discover how quickly I was able to let go of some other pieces to make sure I could afford this one and close the deal.

With great thanks to L and T for arranging this.

Very nice, sadly he drew only this issue, he and Kelley jones were the best artists on Sandie by far and Russels work is always a joy to behold no matter on which series in the 1990s !

Who was the fool who gave this page up? Always remember, with great trade comes great responsibility!

The famous JL! Little did you know that 10 years later you'd be making a little boy's dream come true. Many thanks! And also, good LORD what an awesome collection you have!

It was a momentary lapse of reason and judgment wherein letting this page go seemed to be the only path to getting a page I really wanted. The decision, easy when I made it, began to gnaw at me almost as soon as the initial high of getting the other page (which I love) faded. However, once, I think it was during one of his interviews with Bill, I heard ML say that it was his favorite page in his collection, which, as much as I loved it, I would never have said, and that thought gave me a modicum of solace.

You're very kind! It brings me much joy. I was able to meet the Neil earlier this year and it was one of the pages I took with me for signing. He really enjoyed seeing it too.

This was the first Sandman comic I ever read.  PCR's art blew me away and the story was like nothing I read before. Nice to be reminded of it all with this page.

Amazing third panel in the top tier - superb expression. I love the playfulness over the width of the drawing area, making the scene inside the crystal ball spill out. Great compositions.
