Description

Don Rosa kindly made this convention drawing in Baltimore Comic Con (9/2018). My idea for this Scrooge' "Currency Market View" series was common, real life market view for our (a bit unreal) fiat currencies: EUR, GBP, JPN, USD. And also physical gold.
So, Scrooge' emotions are in line with market expectations.
Physical gold is the most trusted currency what our civilisation has used thousands of years, and loved by Scrooge too! But not paper gold! ;-)

This drawing is done in A3 size paper (30 x 42 cm, 11.7 x 16.5 inches), so it is about twice the size what normal convention sketches are.
First I was thinking "holy triptych" from USD, EUR & JPY, but then extended a bit idea.

in 2018 I made my 2nd journey to Baltimore Comic Con. This time I was equipped myself better, learned from the 1st trip that if wishing to get a convention drawing, then it is better to take paper with you! In the previous time (2017) I got paper from Kim Weston, to get few convention fan drawings from Don. So, now I had all possible colors, except white. Why? - So far most of all those tens of fan drawings & commission artwork I have seen here in CAF are made in white paper, I want to have a bit difference from them. And I think black & red are pretty stunning colors when used together with gold marker pen. That gold marker pen was by purpose for another special convention artwork, but then I realized, it is possible to use for this one too ;-)
