Description

Everyone knows Watchmen, Swamp Thing and V for Vendetta....but, Halo Jones is another substantial storyline from Alan Moore in combination with the artist, Ian Gibson. Generally considered the highlight of his 2000AD contributions, not really sure how to describe it but give it a try if you like material that doesn't fit the superhero mold.

In 2018, after a lot of years a passel of pages popped up for sale and were quickly gobbled up - this one features Toby, one of my favorite supporting characters from the strip. If you haven't read the strip don't read this one as it is a bit of a spoiler.

The scan doesn't capture the presence that the art has live.

Poor Toby.He was a faithful (at least to Halo till she spurned him) dog robot.Halo should have forgiven his psychotic tendencies.

Iconic,i remember wanting Toby as a pet when i was a kid,Ian Gibson had a fantastic style all his own ,will be missed RIP ,but this is great page
