Description

My latest recreation is this full size tribute to my favorite artist of all time, Alex Raymond. The execution of this page was both pure joy as well as an excitng challenge! Re-capturing Raymond's bravura, virtuoso brush-work is not like inking any other comics page. I had to think like a painter, not worryinng about precision line work, bot being conscious of hidden edges and masses instead. It took a great deal of confidence for me to pull this off. Maybe thats why it took me twenty years to attempt it.

Lovely work, you captured the grace and elegance of Raymond's figures very well. And Hey Tony--good call on Gilbert!

Great work, Gerry...elegant is right...thanks for sharing that...and agreed, Jack should keep his arrogant mouth shut...he can't COLOR as well as you can draw!
