Description

When the New 52 came out I was only reading Chew from Image. I jumped back into superhero comics pretty hard and pared down as I got bored with certain titles. One of the titles that kept me enthralled for the entire run was Cliff Chiang and Brian Azzerello's take on Wonder Woman. They redesigned all the gods told a completely different kind of story that ranks very highly out of the superhero stories I have read. Closer to a elseworlds take or Vertigo book, I'm honestly surprised DC let them get away with it!

This piece was originally to be published as a collected cover, then the collection with cancelled. Fast forward 3 years and it was finally published as:

Wonder Woman 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular #1 (Cover I - Cliff Chiang Modern Age Variant)

I missed out on the covers when the book was originally coming out, only managing to score some panel pages. This cover has a great shot of Wonder Woman, many of the gods and Zola who is very central to the run. I think it is just about as good as a Chiang Wonder Woman cover gets.
