Description



The DC Universe has given us several different Manhunters.
From what I can tell, Kate Spencer is #8 in the run. She's 
the first female Manhunter and Marc Andreyko was the writer 
who brought her to life in 2004. It won't be too long before 
Kate celebrates her 20th anniversary on the job.
 
I especially appreciated Jae Lee’s cover art for the first
few issues of Andreyko's run. This 11" x 17" cover is so 
in-your-face ridiculous that I wonder if it would be published
today. It can be found on Manhunter (Vol 3) #4. If you read
the issue, you'll see the cover has little to nothing to do 
with the story. Did Jae Lee care? He did not.

Manhunter sure has changed from the days of Simon and Kirby. But what is not to like with a hot chick and a big gun. Congrats.

Jae Lee took his time with this one to convey the hard, soft, rigid and flexible features on this cover. You can tell who's boss by how well they carry their loaded weapon.
