“Part of a series of images for a movie Shooter was involved in somehow.” and a…
“Pitch piece Shooter asked me to do for a Marvel movie that didn't happen.”

In this one—Some kind of mutant villagers attack, with bows & arrows on horseback, some kind of Damnation Alley caravan, while flaming catapults light up the sky.

Crazy and cool to think Shooter wanted Marvel to make movies back in the early to mid-Eighties. Odd though that this might not have used any regular Marvel characters but looks to have been using all new characters. Still, nice work by Byrne, and always happy to see that!

Oh, my God! Shooter was pitching 'The Walking Dead'...! His ambitious follow-up to Secret Wars (or, technically, his ambitious follow-up to Secret Wars II...?) ... and you have the artistic proof! SCORE! :)

Nice pick up! These are really cool. :)
