Alberto Breccia Exhibition Toulouse, France January 2019 - pictures

Toulouse, France, Jan 2019. I was attending Angouleme 2019 and flew in a few days early to attend the closing of the Alberto Breccia exhibition in France. I met up with fellow Brecciaphiles Massimo and Giovanni who had come in from Italy to hang out with me for the weekend in Toulouse. The exhibition was housed in a public library and I had some reservations given that it was a library that it would be only a trivial show but the quality of art and material as well as the displays far exceeded anything I could have hoped for. The original art on display was loaned by several collectors as well as the Breccia family and so it included many prime pages from all the most important works. There was also many vintage comics including first Argentinian prints of Hora Cero and the Che Biography. Truly a great show and a fitting tribute to one of the most important artists EVER.
