Description

In 1995, Marvel tried to resurrect the Malibu Ultraverse�
under their ownership. They launched �Black September�,
an attempt to bring some of the characters into the�
corporate fold while visually tying each of the series�
together by giving them a solid black cover.
�
At the same time, because black ain�t all that, they also�
issued covers with actual art on them for those same issues.�
For the few who are looking for them, the drawn covers are
more difficult to find. (Since the resurrection, um... died,
not too many collectors care.) This is the cover for "Mantra:
Infinity." It features the first appearance of Lauren Sherwood,�
teenaged babysitter, as the new Mantra.
�
Did I mention that Ultraverse fans hated the new Mantra? Oh,�
they hated her hard.
