Description

Purely coincidentally, and because a friend in the know was smart enough to find out, this French artist, a lead character designer for Futurama, was at a con I attended. When I approached him, early on in the day, he was slightly hunf over from having hung out with Howard Chaykin (though he seemed completely fine) and hadn't, he said, thought anyone would ask for Futurama characters.
Despite his condition, he was a kind and soft-spoken guy, who was happy with my suggestions and asked me all kinds of non sequitur things. The experience was a bit surreal, but put a nice twist at the start of a long day. I hope to meet him again soon.
