Unexpected #223 p3 (1982) Unpublished Jimmy James / Maurice Whitman

Story "Kids Served Free in Burgerland".

This page is by Jimmy James who also penciled some Legion of Super-Hero issues during the Bronze Age and long-time comic vet Maurice Whitman.

It is marked as Unexpected #223 with a June date. However that comic was never published as Unexpected #222 from May 1982 was the last issue. Adding to the mystery is that on the back of the page the copyright notice is 1985 - so was that just an error and supposed to be 1982 or was this story actually published somewhere in 1985? If so, I couldn't locate any comic published in 1985 where it could have possibly been used from my online research.

Also attached (for reference only) is an image of the title page #1 (not included here or owned by me) which was available in the auction where I won this page.
There you can see both the title of the story and the credits. I found the story interesting and wish it was available in its entirety to see what writer Len Rosenberg had in mind
for the nefarious happenings at this McDonald's/Burger King type restaurant.

A very cool page of comic history with a mystery attached.

Page is in overall very good condition showing only minor wear associated with its age and some light yellowing of the stock. Corner edges show some slight wear and the right corner has a small flattened crease in the margin outside the artwork.
