Description

Often the Shock SuspenseStories were the most brutal of EC's offering. Primarily because all of the aweful things done in these stories were done by humans to humans (not by monsters or supernatural spirits). These gritty stories involved much of the worst humanity could dish up.

This story is no exception. It deals with a petty criminal who falls for a callous, gold-digging dame; does dirty deeds to try to woo her; ends up in dutch; and finally behind bars. In the end they both pay the price hard, all for lust of money and flesh.

Wally Wood's ubiquitous influence on EC comics and 50s Science-Fiction in general can never be overstated. However, he was so very versatile and equally gifted at delivering gorgeous stories for many genres including humor/satire, war, adventure, and even romance. Two subjects where Wood really delivered the goods were CRIME NOIR and WOMEN. This awesome page has both in spades!

I remember bidding on "Fall Guy" in the Russ Cochran auctions. Unfortunately I was outbid, otherwise this 7-pg classic EC story would still be intact.
