Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Collector's Plate Preliminary Illustration and Background Painting Group (Walt Disney/Alvin S. White Studio, 1999). Pair of rare pieces of original artwork for a Lenox Collector's Plate titled "Mickey and Minnie Dessert Plate." First is a nicely detailed preliminary drawing, in graphite over blue and red pencil of Minnie handing Mickey a big slice of cake, sitting with their picnic items, surrounded by a leafy branch and shrubs. The overall image size is approximately 12". Next is the hand-painted background, for which specially-painted cels of Minnie and Mickey and their goodies would sit upon; it's in gouache on skimmed illustration board, with a circular image measuring 9.25" across. Included is a color copy image of the finished design, plus the Alvin S. White Studio tracking sheet and image size report. Art condition is Very Good for the drawing, which has handling wear and fold creases; and Fine for the painted background.
