VIEW AUCTION LISTING HERE!

6.75x28.75" thin artboard features four-panel strip w/pen and ink original art by Charles Schulz for daily strip that was published Aug. 16, 1960. Great baseball strip features Charlie Brown on pitcher's mound. First panel features Charlie proclaiming "A Home Run! Good Grief!" followed by Linus Van Pelt walking to the mound, saying "Thus Endeth The Ball Game," a sentiment Charlie echoes in last panel. Schulz has signed last name at bottom of last panel. Second panel has United Features Syndicate Inc. copyright strip. This is the original art that Schulz submitted to the syndicate for publication, w/vertical crease at center (not affecting art in any way) as mailed. Top left margin has been inscribed/signed in blue ink "For Fritz & Lou - 'Thus Endeth The Bridge Game'" and has been signed "Sparky" by Schulz. Back has UFS copyright stamps (which have been crossed out in blue ink). Artboard has some lt. margin aging w/two faint vertical streaks of moisture staining in second panel, but art o/w remains clean and VF/Exc. Van Pelt Collection.
