Rumiko Takahashi wins the Grand Prix at Angoulême! She will preside over the 2020 festival and her originals will be displayed in a museum exhibit. This drawing is from the martial arts screwball comedy Ranma 1/2. The girl Akane Tendo and the boy Ranma Saotome are betrothed to each other by their fathers. Ranma and his father Soun are under a Chinese curse from falling into magic ponds. When hit with cold water, Ranma becomes a girl and Soun becomes a panda. Hot water will restore them. This cel shows Akane Tendo.
