DescriptionAll I could say is finally....(I think I've said that before not too long ago!). I crossed two major wants off my checklist. First was a full Pablo Marcos story; second was a Gray Morrow cover. Morrow did a few Warren covers. My favorite of them is the Creepy 8 cover (which I passed on two times years back at $2000!!!). But, the Morrow I wanted was not from the Warren stable. It was this beauty here. I am a little biased because I am a big werewolf guy---but there's no denying this cover is off the charts in terms of color, technique, and just plain old moodiness. I am really surprised that Marvel didn't take a bigger bite out of Warren's dominance at that time in the Monster magazine marketplace. But with covers like this (and the full Marcos story that goes with it---thanks Steve!), I can honestly say anything else I buy from this point on, is gravy! Plus it will be nice to give my bank account a break.............. Big thanks to Greg for this! I know you loved it---thanks for selling it to someone who loved it even more!Social/Sharing |

Marc, this is an amazing and iconic cover in my book-- I thought Morrow was a moody and talented old school artist who brought the perfect amount of classic horror film feel and look to his Marvel horror work. This cover is seared into my brain... This is a home run additional to your first class collection!!!

Rob. I appreciate your feedback. When you see this in person, you'll understand why I couldn't pass on it, regardless of how much I told myself to give things a rest. I wanted this for over 20 years----even 10 years before I found out it does still exist! Thanks again!

Thanks Bob! That was always my absolute favorite monster magazine cover done by Morrow. I still can't believe it's on my wall. Looks great next to Boris' Tales of the Zombie #1 cover!
