Cartoonist Mike Kunkel works in animation and comics. I love his creation Herobear and the Kid from his own The Astonish Factory. I met him at WonderCon in the Oakland days when he was sharing space with Jason Lethcoe and his Zoom's Academy comic book. The Land of Sokmunster is a hybrid prose and comic book. Sequential art with mostly prose caption boxes and a few word balloons. The Special Autograph Edition cover included the printed title and credit text, but the art is an original pencil drawing.
