Bazooka Joe comic strip from 1962

This original Bozooka Joe strip was drawn by Wesley Morse, one of the 2 known authors of the Tijuana Bibles in the 1930s. The strip was originally drawn for the large "dollar size" format, then reformatted to be republished in the smaller, standard size (as seen here). Each element of the original strip was carefully cut out and then re-applied to a new board.

To my knowledge, the strip has been published in at least 3 different versions between 1963 and 1966, but there may be more as well.
