The New Avengers Finale One-Shot pages 40 and 41 by Bryan Hitch, Butch Guice, and Brian Michael Bendis

I'm so excited to add this piece of comic book history to my collection! One of my stated collecting goals is to acquire a page from each artist who worked on Brian Michael Bendis' New Avengers vol. 1. On the left-hand page, there is giant headline news lettering behind Captain Marvel Carol Danvers in the printed version that proclaims, "SUPERHUMAN REGISTRATION ACT THROWN OUT". Below that, "STEVE ROGERS AKA CAPTAIN AMERICA REPLACES NORMAN OSBORN AS AMERICA'S TOP COP". This page is penciled by the unimpeachable Bryan Hitch, and it signals the end of Norman Osborn's Dark Reign. In addition, it features a great lineup of Avengers- Clint Barton/Ronin/Hawkeye, Mockingbird, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones and Daniella Cage-Jones, Wolverine, Spider-Woman, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers. Finally, Bryan Hitch drew the New Yorkers nearest the camera wearing "Kick-Ass" and "Nemesis" logo sweaters. These are creator-owned properties of Mark Millar, Bryan Hitch's collaborator on The Ultimates-- a 2000s resetting of The Avengers. For these reasons, I find it a perfect addition to my collection!
