Description

When I got an email, out of the blue, from Gerardo's new art rep asking if I was interested in any of his new Conan published artwork I was flabbergasted.

After seeing scans from the issue I knew I needed this moment early in the book. Conan comes home to his village to find things have changed and not for the better.

The way Gerardo gets so much texture and mood with his inks is just amazing.

Then, after posting the art on CGC boards the legendary inker/artist Scott Williams commented:

"These Zaffino pages are as good or better than anything being produced in comics today. They are profoundly good."

Beautiful, clearly pen and ink artistry runs in Zaffino’s blood. And this was a great issue!

Such a powerful page! Zaffino's work defies convention and creates its own rules. I love the scratchy lines and heavy crosshatching. And his use of heavy blacks punctuated by selected whites is fantastic! Congrats!
