Description

No-one else draws crumbling gothic stonework quite as well as Mike Mignola. His atmospheric heavily shadowed masonry adds an ominous presence, and whether Hellboy is wandering past it, leaping through it, or falling off it, it has become one of the most recognisable visual elements of the Hellboy landscape. So this piece, featuring a staggering gothic fa�ade, three deathly, time-worn statues clasping mysterious relics, arrayed around a stunning portrait of Hellboy, is about as good as it gets.

When it appeared for sale, I could hardly believe my eyes - in composition, artful consideration, and level of detail this tops anything I�ve seen Mike produce lately. Any prospect of resistance on my part was short-lived, and futile.

Huge appreciation is due to Anthony Snyder and his team for the easy transaction, and especially for their accommodating approach to the concerns of their international customers. Cheers Anthony.
