What an fantastic piece, a genuinely outstanding acquistion. I enjoyed the auction but was ultimately out-gunned on both PCR artworks I was pursuing; this and the Sandman 'Desire' piece. But that is some prize - enjoy, my friend.

I love this for so many reasons: It features two of my favourite characters; it’s from a very early issue (that I remember buying on publication way back when); and I’m a sucker for really great comic typography integrated into the layout. But perhaps I like it most for its sweary magnificence. Feel the tension that builds and builds before the dam-burst of profanity that finally erupts from Hopey. And Issey’s reaction - priceless.
Swearing. Remember kids, it’s not big and it’s not clever.
But it is funny.
Another fine addition to your collection Hans, but this game's rigged - that pale fellow in the tall hat has an extra ace.
Enter the vampire Giurescu, virtually 'coagulating' before our eyes, as Mignola pushes the dialogue to the fore - wonderfully dramatic, and damned effective. What a fantastic page.
What a belter! A classic image from McMahon, the best Slaine artist ever. When you took this it solved my Slaine/Nemesis buying dilemma at a stroke! We're both winners, I reckon.
All MIgnola pages are desirable, but a few are comics art at a higher level. This is one of them, and plucked from right under my nose! Congratulaions Francesco, a magnificent acquisition.
Much as I love Mike’s current passion for Hellboy/octopus encounters (and I really do, this one is superb!), I am the only one starting to feel a bit sorry for the octopus?

Taking home two Mignolas, I'd say you've had a pretty good NYC Comic Art Expo - but this one in particular I absolutely love.

Thanks for your comments Steve. I can't comment on any other examples but this piece is on a 9" x 12" textured sheet with the image measuring approx. 7.5" x 5.25", and slightly offset towards the top right corner. I've taken the liberty of cropping it so the coloured image is more visible on the CAF thumbnails page.
