Description

For my 3rd Ramos Week post, I'd like to share this fantastic ASM cover which features a battle between Spider-Man and Kraven the Hunter, with a highly detailed background and some masterful inking.

This issue marked the climactic conclusion to "Hunted," a story line which centered around an elaborate plan by Kraven the Hunter to assemble all the animal-themed villains in a domed-off Central Park prison, just so they could be picked off by a bunch of Hunter-Bots. After a long road which also involved the Lizard, the Lizard's son, the Black Cat, and the last surviving clone of Kraven, the endgame was a final confrontation between Kraven and a severely weakened Spider-Man.

Guess who wins?

Hint: The book is not called "The Amazing Kraven The Hunter."

Another awesome Ramos! Hard to top Spidey vs. Kraven...I always feel these 2 lend to some of the best battle images. Also cool to see Ramos inks on the textural parts of Kraven’s costume and that background! Congrats!

Spidey vs. Kraven covers are always great fun to see. I love that Kraven has captured and entangled Spidey by using his own webbing against him!
