Timothy Truman's historic first Starslayer drawing!

John Gaunt (Grimjack), Torin MacQuillon (Starslayer), and Sam the robot.

Quoting Truman when he was shown the piece:
"First Comics -- one of my first, a try-out piece...in other words, it is TRULY one of the pieces that started my comics career! I was doing the Grimjack stories as a backup in Starslayer while still working at TSR hobbies. When First offered me Starslayer as well as Grimjack, I was able to quit TSR and go into comics freelancing full time. So this piece was one of my "tryouts" at drawing the Starslayer character. I got the gig!"

And this, from his website:
"An early preliminary sketch that I did after being offered the chance to become the artist on both the GRIMJACK and STARSLAYER comic books. I quit my day job at TSR Hobbies, became a full-time freelance comic artist, and the rest is history. Little did I suspect that taking on two books full-time would mean penciling and inking five pages of comic book art a day! But heck, I'd have done it anyway."

Fun fact: Timothy Truman and Frank Frazetta share the same birthday (February 9th)
