Description

This was one of my big gets from NYCC 2019. I stumbled on to Pepe's table with Kirby's Comic Art by Friday and knew by that evening that this would likely be a get for me as my mind kept coming back to the details.

This piece, measuring in at 16x24, is done in colored pencils and the tonal colors throughout just blow my mind. I particularly love the details that Pepe has included here as well the Bow Tie, the turn of the flower petals, the umbrella tip and trigger, the mix of colors on the umbrella and the texture on Batman's cowl. Everytime I look at this I am amazed.

Pepe was very humble and gratious to deal with. Annabel was absolutely wonderful to deal with as well and handled all arrangements professionally. My first deal with KCA and I will definitely be back!

Clearly the Joker but Valencia definitely provided his own unique spin, particuarly in the face and smile! The color work is crazy. The tones and detail are great and he really added some real TEXTURE throughout - congrats!
