Description

�� Studio Ghibli co-founder Isao Takahata was director for the 3000 Leagues in Search of Mother television series which aired in 1976. It was part of World Masterpiece Theater by Nippon Animation. Set in Italy during the 1880's, the story involves the boy Marco who travels to South America where his mother was working when her letters home stop arriving. This cel shows Marco with his Italian friend Fiorrina. I'm happy to add this cel to have an example from his work.
