DescriptionIn my view. Tiger Girl was Sheena Jr. Same mold, same skin bikini. And why not Sheena was very popular and comics fans have always loved pretty girls in skimpy outfits.Tiger Girl first appeared in Fight Comics 32 (June 1944) and like Sheena, Robert Webb is attributed with penciling her stories along with Jack Kamen, Matt Baker, John Forte, and the Iger shop. If you believe the statement I made in the Sheena page, then it may be true that Webb didn't actually draw Tiger Girl either. Another of those golden age mysteries that may never be answered. Still, whoever drew this splash it is pretty impressive and typical of Fiction House in the 1940s and 50s. Big bold figures, bold inking. I discovered it far too late in life. Social/Sharing |
