DescriptionI am becoming more and more of a Mahmud Asrar fan with each passing day. His distinctive inking style and realistic approach to drawing both appeal to me, and his covers usually feature the characters in interesting poses.In this image, Spidey is in his web (looking a little startled) with MJ suspended upside down on a web strand. Such a fun and playful image. Asrar could have stopped there, but he also gives us some buildings in the background with a cool one-point perspective to them. Very happy to add this ASM cover to my collection. Social/Sharing |

Agreed on Asrar and he seems to be getting better and better. The poses and illustration of the central figures here of course look great but man dies the detailing on the webbing and one the point perspective use, as you say, really round out a worthy cover image! Congrats on another killer Asrar piece - I venture to say it won’t be your last? ;)
