Description

�� When Astronauts: Women on the Final Frontier showed up in Diamond Previews, I placed my order with my local shop. The graphic novel is the second collaboration by writer Jim Ottaviani and cartoonist Maris Wicks. I loved their previous book Primates: The Fearless Science of Jane Goodall, Dian Fossey, and Birut� Galdikas which I loaned to my niece and it disappeared into her collection. I love Jim's previous books starting with Two-Fisted Science and Dignifying Science. I met Jim a number of times at SDCC and collected autographs. We use to have fun chats, too. I met Maris at Emerald City Comicon in 2014 and I commissioned a drawing of Jane Goodall and a chimp. With the cancellation of their book tour stops this year, Maris offered to do drawn bookplates. While the state of California is under shelter in place at this time, I was delighted when this arrived in the mail.
