DescriptionI drew an XFactor variant cover (homaging the Uncanny Xmen 268 cover Jim Lee and I did 30 years ago) and thought it would be fun to roll reverse and have David Finch, who I have inked many times, try his hand at inking my pencils. What he delivered was fantastic textures and details as you would expect in a David Finch piece, while maintaining the core of my aesthetic and intent. It worked out so well that I would like to try another artist to ink my next cover, but who???Social/Sharing |

Looks Great Scott! You should ask Neal Adams to ink your next cover!

Wow, excellent role reversal! Always thought Finch was a very able inker when he can do it over his own work.

This is amazing Scott! You are official my X-Factor! Love the distinct look! For the next one, you wanna try something totally wild? Or something that you have a long history with? Zaffino would be amazing But would love to see Phil Jimenez, Peach Momoko, Paulo Siquera , Mark Chiarello or Kevin Nowlan on one of yours!

George Perez to ink.
Then auction it off and donate to a local comic shop.

Great combo and turned out really well. Would love to see Bill Sienkiewicz or Klaus Janson ink over your pencils. They would both add some interesting grit to your linework.

Gorgeous cover work you and David did here, beautiful homage to work done years earlier. Loved this variant when it came out.
