Karate Kid vs. Shredder by Gavin Guidry and Simon Gough

I first saw Gavin Guidry's art online, and I dug it a lot, which lead me to reading Going To the Chapel, a fantastic comic that he drew. A little later I saw that he was taking commissions, so I hit him up about a "Karate Kid vs." piece. After a little discussion on opponents, Gavin chose the leader of the Foot�Clan himself:�Oroku Saki aka The Shredder! And man, I am glad he chose Shredder, because he did a fantastic job drawing him! I love all of the folds in his outfit, those small, evil eyes, and how he's attacking Karate Kid from behind like a sneaky ninja would! Simon Gough then worked his coloring magic on this one, making it look even better! I love the bright reds and the shiny silvers on Shredder, and of course Simon always knows how to make Val Armorr look great. Thank you so much to both Gavin and Simon!

Shredder is a master martial artist and strategist, who has defeated all four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at one time. Also, he wears armor covered in deadly blades. So yeah, it may take Val up to a whole minute to completely take him apart. Karate Kid has broken Inertron, so Shredder's armor shouldn't be much of a challenge. And Val's martial arts skills vastly surpass Shredder's. I do see Shredder trying to recruit Val to the Foot Clan when he realizes he can't beat him, but that won't go well either.

Very cool. I like those inks and the look on KK's face - determined :) As soon as I thought this I thought it had a Chris Samnee sort of look/feel, which is a good thing! Congrats on another nice add to the "KK vs" collection!
