Another great convention sketch by the legendary George Perez.

And I was quite unoriginal with this one as well as I�m sure Thanos ranks up there with Deathstroke when it comes to subjects requests for George to draw. At least I didn�t go with Batman ;p

I requested the gauntlet to be included which is basically the way George draws him when he sketches him at cons. I just wanted to make sure ;)

George is immediately associated with Thanos due to the immense popularity of the Infinity Gauntlet, a mini serie that he failed to complete much to his frustration and regret (as stated in various interviews). Despite the fact that he only drew about half of the serie, his version of Thanos became instantly definitive in the eyes of many.

I personally may even prefer Perez� version over Starlin�s (GASP! Heresy!) due to being fully hit in the face by the Infinity Gauntlet back when. Right age, right place, instant love.

Forget the insipid and polished version of the characters in the �movies�, this is Thanos!

Once again thanks to Mr Perez for his impeccable behavior and availability to his fans when he meets them.

Ps: yes I do feel a bit provocative today ;)
