The Deomon by Ken Lashley

The first time I met Ken Lashley was on the last day of San Diego Comic-Con 2018. He was signing and sketching at the DC booth alongside Peter Tomasi. I had been aware of Ken's art for awhile, but this was the first time I saw how he has developed his legendary rapport with his fans. Despite being the final day of the show, he had a ton of energy and enthusiasm and took the time to chat with every fan and nerd out. When it was my turn I asked if he wanted to take a swing at a classic Kirby design, and he decided to go with Etrigan the Demon! It was a lot of fun to watch him work as he busted out this rendition freehand without looking up any reference. The whole exchange was a highlight of the convention for me that year and made me a new member of the Ledkilla fam. Thanks Ken!
