Description

The amazing Joel Carroll continues this seemingly never-ending series of commissions with another group of villains from the Legion of Super-Heroes comics. This time I asked Joel to draw what is probably the most powerful group of villains that the Legion has ever faced! And actually, if this group could ever get along and really cooperate in a team-up, the Legion would probably have very little chance of prevailing. Darkseid was the enemy�behind the infamous Great Darkness Saga, and is responsible for the existence�of Validus. Superboy-Prime gathered the largest, most powerful version of the Legion of Super-Villains together, and it took a team-up of three different�versions of the Legion of Super-Heroes to stop him. The Time Trapper has manipulated and tormented every version of the Legion of the Super-Heroes. Mordru is the most powerful sorcerer�in the DCU and has terrorized Legionnaires throughout the team's existence. And Glorith evolved from being a servant of the Time Trapper to being the usurper of his power. This group is the baddest of the bad when it comes to Legion villains.

From left to right, here we have Darkseid, Superboy-Prime, the Time Trapper, Mordru, and Glorith. First off, I LOVE Joel's grumpy Darkseid! I think that he's mad because he's not in the middle! I actually got to watch Joel draw most of this commission, and I told him then, Superboy-Prime's cape blowing in the space wind is a great touch. Superboy-Prime always needs to look dramatic. I also really dig the hourglass with the Time Trapper. And it looks like time is about to run out for someone. Joel did a great job with Mordru's beard and awesome hat, and of course I dig the magic effects on his hands. And finally, there's gorgeous, manipulative, evil Glorith, who has that fake smile on her face which is just perfect for her character. Big thanks yet again to Joel for always doing such an awesome job on these commissions!
