DescriptionI'd been a fan of his work for well over a decade when I met Kevin Nowlan for the first time in 1996. I had no idea what to expect as he was pretty interview-shy up to that point and there's always that trepidation one feels: "Gee, I love his work...but what if he's mean, or a jerk...or a serial killer?" Let me allay your fears, my friend--Kevin Nowlan is neither mean nor a jerk. Seriously, he's super-cool, friendly and knowledgable, thankfully free of the ego that one might expect from someone so freakishly talented. Oh-! One more thing. My buddy Robert Jewell pointed this out, but you know how all of the women Nowlan draws have those incredible eyes? Wait until you meet Kevin's wife, Deanne, and you'll know why--and SHE'S super-nice too! Anyway...this is a sketch I got of Batman.Social/Sharing |
