DescriptionPost #1 of 2 tonight. Both pages are from one of my very favorite Amazing Spider-Man issues, featuring the very 1st appearance of Stunner! I absolutely love this page. It's like a movie sequence. We start with MJ lying in bed, all anxious about Peter being out in the night and Aunt May being in the hospital. We zoom in on the moon, which turns into Spidey's eye. Spidey is having his own troubles -- he's exhausted, with Doc Ock's poison coursing through his veins. He just wants to go home. It's then that his mind is assaulted with the image of himself in a cloning tank. This leads to a sequence of events where he falls off the building, is caught by Stunner, and then received a serious beating from her. The other page I posted tonight is the tail end of that beating, which leads to Doc Ock unmasking the web-slinger, surprised to see that it is Peter Parker! Social/Sharing |

I'm really drawn to the 5th and 6th panels, they're really terrific!

Um, yeah, obviously! What else would you be talking about? Man, I love the shape of the bottom part especially....

Great point regarding the storytelling flow, Paul, you're definitely right. I think at times Bagley's skill in that department gets overlooked due to his dynamic pinup-y stuff! Congrats!

Those lamps, man... Gotta get me a couple of these if I can.
Kidding aside, great cinematic storytelling, Paul, you're right. There are very little things Mark doesn't excel at, what an artist. And so is Larry, I just love his inking. Particularly fond of those last three panels. Congrats on that beauty as well!!!
