Description
I actually got goosebumps unwrapping this when it arrived.

The first copy of 2000ad I ever read was Prog #8. Together with this story in Prog #9 it provided my entry point into the world of Dredd and cemented my love of comics. .

Classic art by one of the all-time greats, and a memorable prequel to the first Dredd epic by John Wagner. In fact, this was also John’s first published Dredd story too.

Ron only illustrated a handful of Dredds, but this story and his stylish and elegant take on early Dredd is imprinted into my brain.

It is really wonderful to finally own something which meant so much to me as a child, and now again as an adult.

Many thanks to Ian for allowing me to be the next custodian.

Definitely NOT for sale.

Proper Old School ! Congrats on bagging such a personal page - lovely when that happens!

Ron Turner's work on 2000AD was really underrated. That was a great Dredd story, and the artwork here is absolutely superb. Nice story on acquiring a page with such personal meaning - but what a great page to have found from that issue!
