DescriptionWhen this cover appeared in an eBay auction, I was really drawn to it.The tag line for the issue is "The Original Story ... as told by Harley Quinn." So -- it's no surprise that we see the Joker portrayed as a suave, handsome, debonair, totally together character -- whereas Batman is seen as a babbling idiot with distorted features. Also interesting that the image of the Joker morphs into a bunch of jacks, whereas the image of Batman devolves into a bunch of cash. Not sure what that all means, but it's pretty cool. I also really like the way artist Matthew Clark drew Harley Quinn. Very happy to share this one with everyone. Thanks for looking! Social/Sharing |

Never really cared for the Harley character one way or another, but I AM drawn to the background, which is really cool. You bring up some interesting points about the symbolism. Could it be an insinuations that the Joker was a poor kid who had no friends and just played jacks by himself all day, while Bruce was the rich kid living in the lap of luxury?

Very cool Harley Quinn cover! I'm not familiar with Matthew Clark's art but this is excellent! I will need to check out more of his work! Congrats man!
