Description
As recently announced Neal Adams is drawing a 4 issue miniseries which will be released by Marvel later this year. Neal penciled this cover to pitch the idea to Marvel of him doing an FF series for them. A Try Out cover if you will, not that Neal has to try out for any publisher at this stage of his career. This cover does not relate to the upcoming story but it's extremely cool just the same!

Man, what's with this pipeline to all the cool Neal stuff?  Did you recently save his life or something?  Anyway, awesome pencil piece.  He does a great Thing.  Can't wait to see the new series.  I suppose you're getting all the artwork to that as well?  LOL

It's no secret, Neal has been doing Live Facebook Auctions every Tuesday & Friday nights on his fb page. In addition to his auctioned items (comic book & advertising art) they also take requests for commissions like the Galactus piece I posted. When the new FF pages are made available when the books are released the pages will be priced accordingly. So I figured this was one of my best shots at a Nice Adams FF piece!

Just LOOK at that masterful Cover Composition!  Neal's still Got It.  Can you tell who's the figure Ben's supposedly hurt, or is that a Plot Twist?  Would be fun if it's Doom they're angsting over.

I'm not sure that it is an existing character under Ben. I asked Neal what the story was behind this cover since the FF miniseries will be a completely different story. He began to tell me one plot idea, then tell me a different idea, then another. That was his way of telling me it was just a visual he put together to pitch a new FF miniseries to Marvel. No set story was written in stone, it's more open to interpretation. One thing about creators who have worked in comics for many years, they like to leave things to the imagination, not everything is spelled out.
