Description

Another « black » character in his gallery by the ever great Kerry Gammill.

This pencil sketch done during what many would argue was his prime period (1983- at the end of his splendid and popular Marvel Team Up and Power Man & Iron Fist runs).

The pose is quite regal here and perfectly suits the character. He feels important and not to be messed with without being overly aggressive or menacing. Again, simply pitch perfect. I absolutely love it.

The piece offers the usual impeccable anatomy and strong figure work. The pure pencil is a delight as Gammill is a master with it.

Based on this, I really wouldn’t mind seeing his take on the full Inhumans cast.

Absolutely love it, when I think of regal, I think of Kirby's Black Panther, Black Bolt & Odin, and man Kerry's right there, congrats!
